Don Spencer OAM is one of Australia’s most iconic musicians, songwriters and entertainers, and a former children’s television presenter, hosting Play School for over 30 years.
Don founded the ACMF music charity in 2002 to change young lives through music. For more than 20 years, we have been providing long-term music programs and free instruments to disadvantaged schools, youth justice centres, and hospitals that have unlocked hidden potential and changed life trajectories.
More than music
Music is the tool to improve life trajectories for young people and communities. Music unlocks children’s hidden potential and creates significant positive social impact and academic outcomes.
Long-term commitment
We provide long-term music programs in disadvantaged schools that don’t offer music education; in youth justice centres as a form of behavioural rehabilitation; and in children’s hospitals as music therapy for children undergoing care.
