Instrument Donations

Please note the instruments we can and cannot accept as donations.

Thank you for thinking of the ACMF for your instrument donation. The cost of instruments can be a barrier to learning and playing music for many children and families. This is particularly true for children from low socio-economic homes and schools or organisations supporting disadvantaged children and youth at risk.  

Please note that there are some instruments that we do not accept as donations – due to a combination of factors such as lack of demand, difficulty and expense of transport and storage, or simply having too many of them already!

We do not take donations of:

• acoustic pianos (upright or grand)
• organs (small portable electronic keyboards are fine, though!)
• recorders
• piano accordions
• sheet music
• any instrument that is broken, unusable or requires repair (broken strings are fine though – we can easily replace those!)
