Workplace Giving

What is WorkPlace Giving?

Workplace Giving is one of the most effective ways for working Australians to support charity.

Workplace Giving, also known as Payroll Giving, enables employees to make donations (pre-tax) through a company’s payroll system. It is simple and easy to set up.

If you’re an EMPLOYEE: if you work for a Workplace Giving Employer, payroll can organise a regular donation to be deducted from your pre–tax earnings, reducing your taxable income.

Without needing to collect receipts — your total donation amount will be included in your PAYG payment summary.

Here’s how it works: You can contribute a small portion of your pre-tax salary to the ACMF and receive the tax benefit straight away, rather than waiting until the end of financial year. For example, if you donate $20, it will only cost you $12.60[1] but the charity will receive the full $20. In most cases, employers will match staff donations, so the value of your donation will double to $40 direct to the charity of your choice. Ask your employer about WorkPlace Giving today.

If you’re an EMPLOYER: you can achieve great results through Workplace Giving. You can choose to match employee donations dollar for dollar, doubling the charity impact of your company. Businesses can enhance the impact of their workplace giving program by incorporating volunteering, skill-sharing and in-kind support.

The ACMF is proud to be a Workplace Giving Supporter Charity, and strongly encourage employers to offer this form of fundraising to their staff.

Why choose to support the ACMF?
