ACMF was the beneficiary of a highly successful bucket collection at the musical CATS in Perth this past weekend.
Heartfelt Support from the CATS Community
The generosity of the audience was deeply moving, offering direct proof of music’s life-changing impact. The volunteers collected powerful testimonials throughout the weekend. One audience member shared “ATAR drama saved my life, so thank you for what you do.” Another supporter emphasised, “I’ve been playing music my whole life so I know how important what you do is.”
This passion was amplified by the cast and the local community. “The cast of CATS gave incredible, passionate displays of support for ACMF. It really resonated with the crowd at each show. WA really is the giving state and we are so grateful to CATS and the WA community.”
The volunteers themselves brought deep personal connection to the cause, with some even returning the next day to help. They were also thrilled to be invited on stage for photos with Mark Vincent, the Australian tenor who plays the revered ‘Old Deuteronomy’. A great show of support from the cast!

We are looking for passionate volunteers to help with bucket collections during the CATS Melbourne run on the weekend of January 16-18, 2026:
- Friday 16th January, 7:30 pm
- Saturday 17th January, 2:00 pm & 7:30 pm
- Sunday 18th January, 1:00 pm & 6:00 pm
