Two weeks ago, key leaders from the NSW Department of Education visited ACMF programs at Upper Lansdowne Public School and Taree West Public School.
They were:
- Murat Dizdar (Secretary, Dept of Education)
- Lisa Muir (Executive Director, Public Schools – Regional North & West)
- Kathy Powzun (Executive Director, Public Schools – Regional South & Connected Communities)
- Matthew Royan (Director, Educational Leadership – Regional North)
All four leaders were deeply moved by the musical performances and the impact of our programs. Their visit reinforced the importance of music education — and the value of ACMF’s specialised delivery.
Highlights included:
- Upper Lansdowne students performing an original song about their local area
- Kindergarten students reading and playing whole, half, and quarter notes on violin (yes — at just five years old!)
- Taree West Public’s choir shining for visiting department leaders
