We were honoured to be named as a 2024 St.George Foundation and BankSA Foundation Thrive Community Grant recipient.
Receiving these Thrive Community Grants is an incredible milestone for the Foundation as this funding will empower us to positively impact the lives of over 500 incarcerated young people across seven juvenile justice centres in New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.
Through our music programs, these young detainees gain more than just musical skills. They experience a sense of belonging, build confidence, deepen cultural connections, and improve their engagement with learning and self-expression. The support we receive from the St.George Foundation and BankSA Foundation will help us continue this vital work, supporting some of the most disadvantaged in our community and providing a rehabilitative approach to help create an alternate future and help redefine their identities through the power of music
We were also thrilled to join the St.George Foundation’s Charity Partner Gathering in Sydney in late September. The event brought together fellow grant recipients, St.George Foundation team members, and key supporters from across the Westpac Group, celebrating the collective impact of charitable initiatives.
Our General Manager, Frances, was invited to speak at the event. She proudly represented the ACMF, sharing insights into our programs and the difference we make, thanks to the generous funding we receive.
The event also provided a valuable opportunity to connect with like-minded organisations and celebrate the shared commitment to creating positive change in our communities.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the St.George Foundation and BankSA Foundation, and the broader Westpac Group, for their continued support and belief in the ACMF’s mission.
