Winner of the ACMF’s National Songwriting Competition – Bailey Pickles, makes headlines.

The ACMF’s National Songwriting Competition winner of both the Instrumental category and the prestigious Alan Kendall Award, Bailey Pickles, has made it into not one, but two local news stories since winning the ACMF’s 2021 competition and is being widely recognised for his incredible talent – some calling him a musical ‘prodigy.’

Macarthur & South Western Sydney Newspaper the South West Voice, candidly chats to Bailey about his winning song ‘Spectre’ and discusses how Bailey became such a talented young musician.  “I would just basically sit down at the piano and muck around with it, and then I’d use the black keys to create the little tunes…” – Bailey Pickles.

Also a great read is online Newspaper, The Direct Reporter, with an article written by Rhys Evans where Bailey describes the moment he herd of his “auspicious” win; “I was away from home when Mum and Dad sent me a message letting me know that Deb Knight had spoken to Don Spencer about me on the radio.  It’s honestly such an amazing feeling that I’m sure will never get old.”
