Well they came from all directions – some had flown from Tasmania, Melbourne, driven from Canberra. Young, older, lots of hair, no hair but loads of enthusiasm. All were there to break a Guinness Book of World Records attempt to have the largest number of electric guitarists perform the same song together. The current record is held in India with 368 players. In Chatswood, Sydney yesterday, 457 players smashed that record and played their hearts out to ACDC’s ‘Highway to Hell’. The Choirboys were the backing band and there was a huge crowd all cheering on the world beaters. ACMF were proud to be the beneficiary from proceeds from this history making day. Thanks to Alex Zotov and Adrian Leighton for organising a great event, all the volunteers including our friends from Rotary, and to all those magnificent musos who not only broke a record but demonstrated the power of music!
