Welcoming two new board members
The Australian Children’s Music Foundation is very fortunate to have many talented and passionate people serving on our board who are willing to share their time. Each person brings a unique community perspective and a set of skills that will help us to achieve our goals in 2018 and beyond.
We are absolutely honoured to welcome two new board members. Both bring valuable experience and expertise, as well as a passion for music education and an understanding of the benefits of music education.
Welcome to Louise Pocock , who has 15 years’ experience in corporate law, governance and policy, including as a lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills specialising in dispute resolution. Louise writes children’s poetry and is a former music teacher. She is passionate about the benefits of music and creativity for children’s well-being.
Welcome to Peter Northcote who is arguably the most recorded guitarist in Australian history. Peter Lectures at the major music universities and understands the connection, compassion, and creativity that can only be gained by the teaching of music at an early age.
