Music is everywhere at Hillston Central School!
You might remember reading a post about our teacher Rachel going out to teach at a little school in western NSW. She goes out with lessons for teachers, and works with both the students and teachers so that all the students have regular music lessons when she isn’t there (as much as she’d like to be there every week!). Last week, we heard about how things are going. Years 5 and 6 performed their new drum piece at an assembly, and year 7 sent us a video of their djembe class (Rachel started off a drumming program for secondary children – and after only a few sessions one of the teachers is now running djembe classes!). Well done everyone at Hillston Central School – we love hearing your news! (And Rachel would like to add a huge cheer to the teachers who follow her lessons – she’s really proud of what you are doing!)
