Banksmeadow Public School’s ANZAC assembly

Banksmeadow Public School’s ANZAC assembly

On Wednesday April 27, Banksmeadow Public School held their ANZAC assembly. As part of the assembly, ACMF teacher Rachel Scott conducted the senior choir (over 150 voices for years 3 – 6) in three songs – a medley of songs from World War One, ‘Wish Me Luck as You Wave Me Goodbye’ and ‘The Last ANZAC’ – a song written by Aussie composer Michael Travers. For the last song, not only did the children sing, but also ‘signed’ what they were singing using AUSLAN sign language. For many audience members it was very moving. One visitor commented to Rachel that it was the best school choir he’d ever heard. For more photos go here….

Well done, all you fabulous singers!
