A big thank you to the good folks at FGX….

ACMF Education Manager, Rachel Scott, is doing some travelling over the next few weeks, talking to investors involved with the Future Generation Investment Company (FGX). This fund was set up a few years ago by ACMF board member, Geoff Wilson, to provide an investment fund that provides solid returns for its investors, whilst donating one percent of the profits received to various charities. None of the fund-managers take a commission for their work, and the ASX has even listed the company for free. It’s been a huge success, and we are hugely grateful to be one of the charities who benefit. Funding received from the FGX is directed towards programs in Taree in mid-north coast NSW and Sunshine, in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Most of the students in these areas come from severely disadvantaged backgrounds. FGX funding assists the ACMF to bring music into the lives of approximately 2800 students – thanks to everyone involved, especially Geoff!
