ACMF school in Taree in the News!
Taree Public School have made the news!
A HUGE thank you to our wonderfully enthusiastic and passionate teacher Matty Zarb in Taree. We owe so much to the incredible work of all of our teachers, without whom we could not continue to deliver music, joy and happiness to Australia’s kids.
Taree Public School, built in 1865, enjoys the reputation of being Taree’s first established school. Situated in the CBD, it draws students from the immediate township, the Aboriginal Community at Purfleet, Rainbow Flat and other communities. Attached to our school at Purfleet is an annex, which offers transitional and individual needs programs for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Taree Public School takes pride in its motto “Excelsior” meaning “High Quality” and is known as the ‘Friendly School’. Our focus is to prepare students so that they are motivated to learn, able to develop learning independence and demonstrate skills in literacy, numeracy and technology.
Matt runs a choir, ukulele group, piano group, drum group and a djembe group.
The ACMF Taree Schools Group music program is financially supported by the Australian Government Department of Education & Training, the Future Generation Investment Company (FGX) and Rotary.
