ACMF teacher’s making a difference

Lance

Lance Mote has been teaching singing at a Juvenile Justice Centre on behalf of the ACMF for the past 18 months.  During that time Lance has had a profound impact on the young men he’s worked with.  Here’s what the Principal at the centre had to say:

This program is of a unique benefit to the students at the Centre; in the singing program, the students can leave behind any of their bravado and swagger, and genuinely engage and encourage each other to be the best they can.

The boys in the centre demonstrate great respect for Lance; his gentleness and dedication models a code of behaviour that the boys can aspire to.

In this regard, the singing program is expanding from just being about singing and music, and more about managing emotions, developing confidence, communication and relationships.

On behalf of all of us here at the ACMF, thank you Lance! You’re a treasure.
