Putumayo Kids has released an album of Australian world music for children.
The collection of songs has been chosen to transport kids (and parents) through our magical landscapes and diverse musical roots. The album supports the ACMF with 1% of all sales going to music programs for disadvantaged children. It also features a regional recipe and is a wonderful introduction for kids to our country’s exciting music scene.
The compilation CD includes the much-loved Don Spencer song ‘Kangaroo’.
Australian Playground has been released along with a companion CD for adults titled Australia. It features highly-regarded artists including The Waifs, The Beautiful Girls, Colin Hay, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, Xavier Rudd, Archie Roach with Paul Kelly and others.
