welcoming instrument donations

The beautiful Mapex drum kit in the photo below was donated to the ACMF by the brother of well known Melbourne jazz musician, Gary Minton.  Following Gary’s death, his brother and family wanted it to go to a school where it would really be appreciated. We arranged for it to be sent to Sunshine College West where ACMF teachers Simone Lang and Mark Grunden run a very successful music program. Here it is being played by a lucky, and grateful, Sunshine College student.
