City of Sydney Christmas Concerts
Head to Martin Place for the free children’s concert and see the City’s all-new interactive Christmas tree lit for the first time in 2013 by Santa and the Lord Mayor.
Packed with entertainment the whole family will love, including Hi-5, Kate Ceberano, Don Spencer, Justine Clarke, a costume show from Looney Tunes and carols from the Sydney Children’s Choir with MC Leah Purcell.
Santa will arrive with one lucky competition winner on his brand-new cycle-drawn sleigh and the night will finish with a magical fireworks display to mark the start of the festive season.
Grab a $2 Santa stocking for the kids before you go – all proceeds go to charity partner, Australian Children’s Music Foundation.
If you have young kids then Sydney’s free Christmas concert in Hyde Park is for you.
There’s plenty of space to spread out with entertainment for young ones and adults, including costume shows featuring dirtgirl and Bananas in Pyjamas, a performance set by Sam Moran and his Bam Bam Binos Band, plus carols and singing from Darren Percival and the Australian Girls Choir.
There’ll be craft activities, a sausage sizzle, gelato and a fun $2 Santa stocking jam-packed with goodies, all proceeds going to charity partner, Australian Children’s Music Foundation.
Once the sun sets, the night will be lit up with a bright, magical fireworks display.
