Rotary Manning Valley School Spectacular

Rotary Manning Valley School Spectacular

What a wonderful day in Taree! Two variety concerts were organised by Rotary, with proceeds going towards the Australian Children’s Music Foundation Taree music programs.

THE INAUGURAL ROTARY MANNING VALLEY SCHOOLS SPECTACULAR, held Saturday 23rd November at 2pm and 7pm featured the amazing range of talent of school students from throughout the Manning Valley, including:

• 11/11 Rock Band
• Koori Dance Group
• Manning Valley Concert Band
• Cadence vocal group
• Combined choir performing the premiere of Don Spencer’s latest song

Celebrities who donated their talents to support the students included ACMF Ambassadors George Houvardas (the Master of Ceremonies) well known for his portrayal of Carbo in ‘Packed to the Rafters’, John Waters, Australian film theatre and television actor and musician, George Ellis – Conductor and Musical Director and our very own Don Spencer.

All performers donated their time, and funds raised will support the fundraising efforts of the four Rotary Clubs of the Manning Valley for the ACMF Manning Valley Indigenous and Disadvantaged Students Music Program.
