The Senior Choir at Matraville Soldiers’ Settlement Public School singing “Solfege Song”

ACMF teacher Rachel Scott was given the sheet music and backing track of the “Solfege Song” by American music teacher Joe Busolits in January. The senior choir at Soldiers’ Settlement, Matraville absolutely love it, and recorded it to say ‘thank you’. These children from years 3-6 are singing (and signing) in solfege names (doh, re, mi etc – just what is used in the song ‘Doh, a Deer’ for The Sound of Music). In the second and third verses they are joined by year 6 girls singing a descant and Richard Tardif (who helps with the music program) playing flute. You’ll hear the children all shout “Thank you Joe” at the end!
