Exclusive first look at ABC’s new drama ‘Redfern Now’
The six-part all-Aboriginal drama is the first series written, directed and produced by Indigenous Australians.
Set in one of Sydney’s most notorious trouble spots, Redfern’s Indigenous-owned precinct, The Block, the mini-series explores contemporary inner-city indigenous life within six different households.
Some of the children you may see in this TV series are children involved in our ACMF program at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel, Waterloo. ACMF teacher, Rachel Scott, says “I’m so excited to see some of the little people I know on my TV screen tonight! The kids have talked to me about it with great glee – can’t wait to see what they’ve done.”
An outdoor screening event will take place tonight in Redfern at The Block. Fans are invited to join the cast and crew to celebrate the highly-anticipated release of the series.
