The Royal Australian Navy Band visits Hillston Central School

The ACMF has delivered music tuition programs at Hillston Central School (HCS) for 5 years. Our wonderful ACMF teacher, Rachel Scott, has become part of the Hillston School family and greater Hillston community during this time. Continuing the ACMF – Royal Australian Navy Band (RANB) collaboration, we received funding from NSW Regional Arts to facilitate a special visit from the RANB to the school. Musicians from the RANB conducted music masterclasses with teachers, parents and students and performed for the whole school.

The Hillston Central School students and the Navy Band then performed during the evening to a packed audience at the Hillston Community Hall. It was a magical day involving inspirational mentorship and enthusiasm from all participants.

ACMF would like to acknowledge the support and involvement of Steve Chapman and Jane Murphy (HCS), Penny Davies (Carrathool Shire Council), the HCS P&C who provided the catering for the RANB and evening BBQ for the community and the many other HCS parents who supported the event.
