The ACMF is often in need of good quality musical instruments for our music programs. If you have an instrument that you no longer need, you might want to consider getting in touch with us to see if we can put it to good use!
However, what we need at any given time depends on supply and demand, which can be highly variable. Some instruments we can’t get enough of, and others we rarely, if ever, need. Because we operate programs across Australia (and because transporting instruments can be expensive) we try where possible to match a donation to a need that is geographically close to the donor – which doesn’t always match up.
If you have an instrument that you would like to donate, send us an email using the link below (or use firstname.lastname@example.org). You’ll need to let us know:
- What town, suburb or city you are in
- What sort of instrument it is – including, if possible, what brand, model number, or any other info you can find about it. If you can send us a photo, that can help!
- What sort of condition the instrument is in. We can only accept instruments in working order, but aren’t too worried about cosmetic condition – and can easily replace strings, reeds or other consumables.
Even if we can’t use the instrument for our programs or give it to a child in need, we may be able to put you in contact with another organisation that we work in partnership with who can!
Please note – we cannot accept donations of acoustic pianos (upright or grand) or organs. Sorry!
