“As we welcome in the New Year, it’s a great time to consider music lessons for the young and old, in particular for kids as they settle into their 2012 school routine. Music lessons are beneficial as they help children develop the part of their brain that enhances their problem solving skills. Parents of our students tell us that they see an enormous improvement in their child’s behaviour, and performance at school, after they’ve started a music lesson with our music coaches.”~ Richard Berkman, Director of Big Music.

“I am delighted that Big Music is hosting its Open Day again this year, and for supporting the ACMF at the event. Music inspires creativity and imagination, improves self esteem and brings solace and hope. I encourage everyone to attend this special event and reap the rewards that music undoubtedly provides.” ~ ACMF Founder Don Spencer OAM.

ICAP Support ACMF
Several members of ICAP came along to the 2010 Dueting It for the Kids event and had such a great time that they have come on board as one of the sponsors for the 2011 event.
Strong believers in the impact of music and the benefits to children, the management has also selected the ACMF as one of the charities to be the recipient of their Global Charity Day being held on December 7th. 50 companies in 32 countries help raise funds for a number of charities.
We greatly appreciate being selected and know that the funds raised will make a huge difference to our programs.

Bulls & Bears Golf Day
It is the 10th year that this event has been held at the tough Lakes Golf Course in Sydney.

Back in the clubhouse, ACMF Ambassador, Dicko was the MC for the prize giving.
Australian Stockbrokers Invest In The ACMF
This is the largest annual gathering of financial services practitioners, and is the highlight of the stockbrokers’ year.
Since its inception the ASF has raised over $6 million dollars from the stockbroking community, to distribute to charity, with an emphasis towards assisting children.
The ASF co-ordinates two annual functions. Towards the end of each financial year the Stockbrokers Awards Charity dinner is held, when six hundred people from stockbroking houses and investment banks open their hearts (and their wallets) for those less fortunate than themselves, and to acknowledge the achievements of the past year. This is the largest annual gathering of financial services practitioners, and is the highlight of the stockbrokers’ year.

Rotary To The Rescue, Again!
Our amazing friends and supporters in Rotary have been out and about again working hard to support the ACMF.
Rotary District 9790 hosted a wonderful conference on Friday 18 March 2011 at Wangaratta, Victoria. ACMF Teacher Mark Grunden engaged the 600 strong audience in a fun and spirited group drumming performance. Our thanks again to District Governor Alan Anderson and his wife Dorothy for choosing to support the ACMF.
Meantime the ACMF’s Vicki Fitzgibbon and Michaela Baranov of ACMF visited the Bathurst Rotary 9690 conference and were presented with a donation, plus a truckload of instruments.
Our thanks to Dudley Mercer for organising the instruments at his end, and to Tony Jaggs for helping us get the instrument to us, for distribution to schools and communities right round Australia.
Morrisons
We are proud of this partnership as this is a simple way that they can engage with their customers and help a good cause in the process.
Thank you to Morrisons for their ongoing fundraising support.
