Do you provide instruments to young people in need, who are not participating in an ACMF program?
Yes. The ACMF will donate instruments to individuals in need or other organisations assisting them.
Our school doesn’t have a music program or funding for one. Are you able to assist?
Yes, depending on available funding from ACMF’s side. The first step is to contact us by email on contact@acmf.com.au and complete a relevant form we will provide you with.
Are you interested in working with other organisations?
Yes. Whenever possible, we work together with likeminded organisations to provide a holistic approach.
Are you a funding body?
No. The ACMF is a charity that raises funds to conduct music programs. We happily accept donations to further our programs.
We would like to donate on a monthly/annual basis – is this possible?
Absolutely. We can arrange a secure payment process through our finance department. If this is something you would like to know more about, please email contact@acmf.com.au.
How are ACMF’s music programs different to ordinary music classes?
Our teachers are talented musicians and they are specially selected, based on their ability to connect with and understand children. The children we deal with in many cases have been through traumatic experiences and are consequently far more challenging to teach and engage with. The music classes are designed to be an outlet for the children to learn to enjoy and express themselves in a positive and creative way. There are no exams, just enjoyment, encouragement and ongoing mentoring.
How many times can I enter the National Songwriting Competition?

If I have won a category in a previous year in the National Songwriting Competition, am I allowed to enter the competition in the following years?
You may enter as often as you like, provided you are between the ages of 5 and 18 years old.
How many members of staff are there at the ACMF?
There are nine staff members in the Sydney head office and an additional twenty six teachers nationwide.
I would love to get involved in the exciting music programs and become an ACMF music teacher. How could I do this?
It would be fantastic to have you on board! Please contact our office on contact@acmf.com.au and you will be provided with more information.
